Yay!
I finally did it!
My Cross-Country Coach gave me a HUGE compliment!
Last year when I could run (at one point I could hardly walk, let alone stand)
I was very slow.... and I mean VERY slow.
I honestly didn't think that I would ever see me in this uniform again.

But now I am an entire 13 minutes faster!!!
For those of you with crohn's disease, work on keeping your iron levels up.
Seriously.
Seriously.
That's what helped me tremendously.
I went from being about 5 to about 500 on my iron levels (which is were you should be)
Anyways my coach does not give out compliments freely and this is just another confirmation to me that by eating strictly like I do works.
And no matter what obstacles you have, I know that you can overcome them!
Living with IBD has been really hard. This blog has given me so much hope. My guitar teacher gave me some compliments a while back and thinking about them now, I realize they were supposed to help with my problems. I'm so lucky to have found someone I can relate too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jose! It really means a lot to me that this blog has given you hope. Keep looking for the positive, things will get better!
