Alright. So.... college life hasn't quite begun. But I AM VERY EXCITED! I move out starting Monday, Into my first choice of housing. I really feel very blessed, because my plan seems to be going as I'd like. So far, anyways. What goes exactly as planned in life anyways? I know that Heavenly Father is looking out for me because I got admitted to BYU ( I actually didn't know if I'd be admitted), My class schedule worked out just as planned ( even though I had THE VERY LAST day to register), and I got one of the last 12 spots in my apartment complex. I truly feel very blessed.
I haven't blogged in quite a while, so here is an update to my crazy busy summer...
I got glasses :)
appointment's these past two weeks.
Blah. What's new?
And today, my doctor called with
good results! She also told me that
she is basically astounded how healthy
and fully participating in life I am!
Basically, for being such a "textbook
case" of a severe Crohn's/Colitis patient
I basically show no symptoms :)
I smiled, and got teary eyed, actually.
Cause Heavenly Father and Jesus are
really oh so merciful, kind, and caring,
aren't they?
And I have finished working at a memory
care center. I am very sad and will
miss the sweet spirit of the place
as well as many of my best friend's
( yes, most of them are 90 :) )
And on my last day at work,
I found Kylie the missing Calico Cat!
Haha, it's a long story... but I think
I made someone very happy :)
And lastly, my heart aches every time I hear of another person who is sick, or facing other trials.
Yesterday, I heard about a boy, close to my age who has lost 30 pounds due to colitis, and is currently not attending school. This makes me sad, because I was quickly headed down that path, but because of many things I pulled through, virtually unscathed. In the upcoming future, my mom and I will be "team blogging". She is going to write some posts about the beginning of my journey. Because I really hardly remember any of it, it is still too hard for me to write out in words or speak in great detail about ( just incase you thought that Crohn's is easy for me, it's not ), and she has some very helpful knowledge to help many of you who are in the early stages of a similar journey as mine. She also has a mother's perspective, which I sense is difficult too. Stayed tuned.
And please follow my blog!
