Have I mentioned how much I love my family?
Yeah, well, I love them a whole lot! And I will miss them terribly. I can't stop the tears from flowing, and I don't think that they can either. However, I am extremely excited to see what is in store for me on my new adventures at BYU!
Because I will miss them so much and am so grateful for all that they do for me.... I will write a little about each of them.
Dad, I love you because of your strong work ethic. You have taught me how to work hard and to do the job right. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. You have taught me how to not complain, even when things are difficult. Or if there is a valid reason to complain. You also love your children so much. I can see that as you spend time playing with us. You have always been there for me to calm me, joke with me, and support me. Dad, I love you!
Mom, where can I even begin? You are my best friend and my most trusted listening ear. Seriously, I can tell you anything. And I have told you a lot. Thank you for keeping my secrets, listening to me, and not judging me. Thank you for believing in me, even when I don't. You have taught me that I can do hard things! Continually your life is dedicated to service. I remember countless nights of you standing in the kitchen cooking and cleaning. Only to wake up early and do it all over again, very willingly. Mom, I can't wait to continue to grow close to you.
Danielle, My best friend and sister. You have been my sidekick since the very beginning. It will be very strange to be away from you. But I will still keep you close to my heart. I hope to always be close to you, tell stories, and continue our late night talks and laughs. I know that you are going to grow up and do great things! I am so thankful for you and appreciate your level-headedness, you are always there for me. Thank you. I love you so much Danielle.
Hallie, I truly truly love you. I have always wanted to be closer to you and last night I was satisfied to realized that is what has happened this past year, and summer. As you came in, crying, expressing that you will miss me I realized that we really have grown closer. Thank you for telling me how you feel. I have thoroughly enjoyed our temple trips and shopping trips this summer. And I plan on growing even closer to you as we both grow up. Hallie you are a remarkable girl.
Steven, oh Steven how I love you oh so much. Thank you for your contagious happiness. You seriously are always wearing a smile. You know how to laugh with others, and as well as yourself when appropriate. I know that you can accomplish anything that you put your mind to. I will always remember playing poison ball and other fun games on the trampoline with you, often games that you would make up. Steven, stay happy and you will bless many lives through your example.
Tommy, you are such a blessing to our family. Although you have only been in our family for a short time you have enriched my life. I feel as though I personally know you, as if before this life. In fact, I know that I did. Although a lot younger than your siblings, you belong in our family. Tommy you make the family so happy. I love how verbal you are, your animal sounds you make, your "Uh-oh's", your laugh, how you eat dog food :), and how you love bandit, our dog. Tommy, I hope to grow close to you. Tommy, I love you.
Although moving out is sad, I will choose to smile because of the memories that I have.
Mom, Dad, Danielle, Hallie, Steven, Tommy... I love you!
