Midterms and Tender Mercies

Yikes!  Today (actually this whole week) is slightly traumatic and HIGHLY stressful.  Thankfully I have been so blessed to feel such love and support from friends, family, and my Savior and Heavenly Father.  This week has been so hard and I am so busy.  Right now, I am studying in the BYU library and have been doing homework since 5:20 this morning.  Yeah, you heard me correctly.  5:20 and now it's 9:30 and I'm still going strong.  Today I learned that it is important to take breaks, even if they are short.  My quick little jog helped me maintain a little sanity.  Even if I did fall asleep nearly while running and almost trip on the curb.  Some of the amazing tender mercies of the day included:

  • A random phone call from my sweet cousin, and practically big brother, asking how I am doing
  • Talking with my mom who cheered me up and helped me become slightly less homesick
  • Hearing from my best friend who is serving an LDS mission in El Salvador
  • My stomach is surprisingly extremely healthy!!!!! :)
  • Feeling the spirit remind me that I can do hard things
  • Nice boys who did our dishes
  • Happy memories
  • The Book of Mormon test that I am studying for and the awesome verses I have read
  • Friends to study with
  • My Rhetorical Analysis is due Tuesday, and not tomorrow anymore!  I may actually go to bed tonight!
  • And so much more

This is a view from my hike to the Y last week.
Life is just about your matter of perspective :)
