My Savior

This week has been a difficult one and I am so thankful for the wonderful and much needed lesson that I received this week in my Book of Mormon class.  Being a student at BYU, I have the unique privilege of having a religion class and this semester it has been such a blessing to me.  The discussion for this week was the beginning of 3 Nephi where Christ is visiting the Americas.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is unique for many reasons.  Among them is our additional Book of Scripture that is another testament of Jesus Christ.  In this book, The Book of Mormon, we have another record of Christ's visit on the earth after his resurrection.  What I loved most from our discussion was that Jesus Christ visited with many people one by one.  He gave them hugs, laughed, cried, whatever they needed.  I know that Jesus Christ wants to form a very personal relationship with all of his Children.  I am so looking forward with hope, excitement, and faith, for the day that I can hug my Savior and I know that he is the only other one who perfectly understands all that I feel.  I have a testimony that Jesus Christ atoned for all the sins of the world and for every individual personally.  He know not only what it feels like to have Crohn’s disease, he knows exactly what it feels like for me to have Crohn’s disease.  Likewise, Jesus Christ knows exactly what you are feeling and that is why he is able to help you.  If you just turn to our Heavenly Father in prayer and ask for his help, I promise you that Jesus Christ will help you through the power of the Atonement.  And I firmly believe that we will all get the chance to come face to face with Jesus Christ again and I look forward to that day.
