Whirlwind of a Week

Hey Everyone!  I know that I haven't been as consistent with my blog as I'd like to... College is CRAZY busy, haha!  But life is way good!  In fact, I have decided that starting right now I am going to recommit myself to having a positive perspective.  Somewhat shameful to admit, this week I have wallowed and indulged in a little self-pitty.  Sometimes I really despise the fact that I have Crohn's Disease, but it is in those exact moments that I love it the very most because I am able to see more of the blessings freely flowing from this trial.  This week I have shed enough tears in the privacy of my pillow or in the quiet conversations with my mom.  At times, crying and grieving ARE normal, but it is important that I do not stay that way for too long.

I know that God communicates with us way more than we will probably ever know.  This saying has always meant a lot to me and I came upon this banner on campus right before my whirlwind of a week.  It's the little things like this that remind me of how close and constant God really is.

I am happy just the way life is!
I wouldn't change it if I could!

Recently, I told a friend that life is wonderful.  And I thoroughly mean it!  I am happy.  I am busy.  I am working really hard to stay healthy.  And I am very blessed and very thankful.

Tonight I made dinner....

Turkey Meatballs

1 medium package ground turkey
1 T. thyme
1/4c-1/2c chopped onions
1/2 green bell pepper
1/4 c parmesan cheese
green onions, diced

Directions: sautee onions, green onions, and bell pepper in olive oil.  Then combine all ingredients and bake for approximately 30 min. at 400 degrees.

Enjoy!

Oh, and can any of you please tell me what the heck is going on in Ochem??  This class is crazy hard but so interesting!  Somehow I am doing ok in this class, which is yet another testimony to me that God lives and he hears and answers our prayers.

P.S. I mean this with all the sincerity of my heart, if you have any questions, etc. about Crohn's please please let me know.  I want to talk with you!  I am very happy to help anyone overcome similar situations because I know how hard it can be.  Email me at blessinginthecurse@gmail.com
