Enjoy the Journey

It is wise advice to "enjoy the journey".  This is as cliché as it is true.  A common theme of my life, and especially right now has been excitement for the next step ahead.  We as humans are always looking forward to the next bigger and better thing, excitement, situation, ahead of us and we often under appreciate the moments right in front of us.  I know I do.

Oddly enough, looking back I can honestly say that while I was very sick I actually enjoyed some moments because being sick brought me blessings that could have come from no other way.  So many friends, family, teachers, neighbors, co-workers, etc. reached out to me and have blessed me with friendships that probably would not exist had I not been sick.  My blog probably wouldn't exist. And I wouldn't be reading some very touching comments and emails from people going through similar experiences.  Thank you for all of your support.

Today, and lately I need to remind myself to "enjoy the journey".  Today is June 10, 2015.  I just turned 19.  I am healthy (relatively :) ). I am sore from my half marathon training.  The sun is shining.  I have a loving family.  I have a good job.  I am going to the college of my dreams.  And life is good. Yes, I easily become overwhelmed by the future or things to get done.  But I am trying to more fully enjoy the journey.

This summer I have quite a few blog post ideas (mostly including recipes) inside my head, but I would love some suggestions about what would benefit you to hear about. Particularly if you suffer from similar health issues.  I am also planning on writing a post about my pathway to remission and my goal to stay in remission.

Anyways, I love to hear from all of you!

I hope you are all having an "egg-celent" summer!
What are you most excited for?
