Happy Easter! This season I am so thankful for my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. He is the reason for the season and the reason to celebrate. I am so thankful for his love and example of how to pattern my life. Because of Christ, there is no sorrow, no pain, no weakness, no affliction, no trial, no sin, NOTHING, is too big or too much for the Atonement of Jesus Christ to help us through.
This Easter season I am so thankful for Christ specifically because it means that I get to be with my family who I love so much forever, it means that I get to see my Grandpa again with his perfectly healthy body, it means that I get to experience help and power from the Atonement to help me when I feel sick, stressed, overwhelmed, worried, nervous, you name it. Jesus Christ rose from the grave and we all will too. I know this with all my heart and I am so thankful for all that he went through for us. He would do it all for even just one of us because his love is so great.
I feel so blessed this Easter season and I have so much to be thankful for. The words of one of my favorite hymns, "I know that my Redeemer lives" has come to mind today and these lyrics express my gratitude, love, and appreciation for my Savior better than I can express myself.
1. I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives who once was dead.
He lives, my ever living Head.
He lives to bless me with His love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
Chorus
2. Lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with His eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
3. He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while He lives I’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
4. He live! All glory to His name!
He lives, my Savior still the same.
Oh sweet the joy this sentence gives:
I know that my Redeemer lies.
He lives! All glory to His name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!
I know that my Redeemer lives!”
