Happy Sunday! Today has really been a happy day and I am feeling especially grateful for life today :) Thanksgiving is just around the corner and there is so much to be grateful for! Not just because it is Thanksgiving, but there is always so much to be grateful for and it is my hope that I will be able to recognize and express thanks and gratitude more often.
On another note, my sister and I have really been enjoying cooking together lately! I will be posting a lot more recipes (healthy of course!)... so stayed tuned.
Here is my latest recipe for Thai Coconut Soup, and I love LOVE love it!! If you try it out I would really like to hear from you :)
And because it is Sunday, here is a video that describes much of my thoughts today.
Going along with the Thanksgiving theme, how often do we "put up our own umbrellas" and block the blessings that Heavenly Father is so excited to give to us? I know that I do it. I think that for some reason it is human nature to expect things, especially good things, to always be really hard and to require a lot of work. But this is not always the case. When we open our umbrella and allow Heavenly Father to bless our lives, I know that we will be in awe and amazement when we realize all that he has to offer us. And all that we have to be grateful for.
"In reality, Heavenly Father is constantly raining blessings upon us. It is our fear, doubt, and sin, that like an umbrella, block these blessings from reaching us."
This Thanksgiving week, I am making the goal for myself to close "my umbrella" and search for the abundant rainstorm of blessings that I know exist for all of us.
