Facing Uncertainty
Hey you, have you ever faced uncertainty? If you are like 99.9999999% of us, I know you have.
I came across this article yesterday, and it is so great I think everyone should read it! When faced with uncertainty it can be easy to retreat, give up, or give in. I don't want fear to paralyze my actions, or even my thoughts.
When faced with doubts and decisions, I recommend the following.
1) Pray to God, often.
2) Ask yourself what you really want.
3) Get to work and make things happen!
This applies to ALL things! Yes of course, I tie all things on this blog back to my health. So yes, I really do want to be healthy and in remission. Because of that I will continually strive (we aren't perfect) to have self discipline with nutrition, sleep, stress management, emotions, etc. But it is a continual process and journey. And that is ok. In fact, it is how we learn!
I have been thinking about this a lot lately. When you see others around you so extremely successful, happy, married, healthy, beautiful, etc. It can be easy to feel down on yourself. For example, I am still trying to get feeling better and I can't help but notice those healthy and active individuals around me all the time at work. But when I take a step back I am realizing that my body really can do quite a lot as well. And other people are probably noticing that when I am not. I am so grateful for my body that I do have, just the way it is. We so often compare our weaknesses that we know so well, with the strengths of others that we so clearly see.
Life is good, and just like the article says, we should embrace uncertainty! Life is an adventure, and I am trying to see it that way.
After you read this article, I would love to hear from you in the comments!

It's true Camille, we all have issues, nobody is perfect but some issues are more visible than others. We have to fight our own battles with the assurance that our Father in Heaven loves each of us. We can all be happy. You have so many strengths, virtues and values that we admire! Thanks for your great example. Eduardo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Eduardo! I have been blessed throughout my life through the friendship our families share. Thank you for your Christlike examples of charity that you and your family have shown to us!
